FAQ

Before you book.

What actually happens in those 30 minutes?

We talk through how your cash flow works, the financial systems you have in place, and your biggest business challenges right now. On that basis we tell you whether we can help — and gauge whether there’s a strong mutual fit for a successful partnership.

Why start with cash flow and not the P&L?

Because cash flow is what shuts a business down. The P&L is full of estimates and accruals; the bank account isn’t. The cash picture shows fast whether the real problem is sales, pricing, invoicing or cost structure.

What do I actually get from the initial review?

A written report: a 3- and 12-month cash-flow forecast, a list of findings with a euro figure against each, and a prioritised order to tackle them in. Plus an hour together going through it point by point.

What data do you need?

After the first mapping call we send you a list of exactly what’s needed. To start, all we need is exports from your accounting software (the general ledger, the sales and purchase ledgers, and the data behind the KPIs you track). We don’t need the contents of your contracts up front, and we’ll ask for anything more specific as the analysis progresses. Exporting the data from most common tools takes only a moment.

Do I have to switch bookkeeper?

No. We work alongside your existing bookkeeper, adding a strategic layer on top of their work. It’s worth understanding that many data-quality and process issues aren’t really the bookkeeper’s responsibility at all. A finance lead looks at the big picture and connects the numbers to how the business actually runs — working closely with other department heads to improve inputs and data collection.

How long am I tied in for?

The initial review is a one-off, with no obligation to carry on. The ongoing service is a rolling arrangement you can end on 30 days’ notice. Either way, there’s no long-term lock-in.

Does location matter?

No. We work mostly remotely, so location is no obstacle. Meetings in London or Tallinn by arrangement.

How do you keep my financial data safe?

We treat your data with strict confidentiality. It’s exchanged and stored in a secure business environment that meets modern security standards, with tightly restricted access. When the project ends, or once the agreed period passes, your source data is deleted. For a fuller picture, see our data security page.

Start with half an hour.

We’ll walk through how your business runs and where cash is getting stuck. During the call we’ll work out whether we can offer the solutions you need, and gauge whether there’s a strong mutual fit for a successful partnership.
